If you don’t want our diversity—
Then you shouldn’t want our dollars.
Because let’s be clear: Black America isn’t a charity case.

We are the creative engine, the cultural capital, and the economic lifeblood of this nation.

Let’s talk numbers. Let’s talk truth.

🎶 Black Music:
From hip hop to gospel, jazz to R&B—Black music has built billion-dollar industries.
Record labels, tech platforms, award shows, and streaming services have cashed in for decades.
Ask Apple, Spotify, Live Nation, Universal—Black art pays their bills.

🏈🏀⚾ Black Athletes:
The sports industry thrives on Black talent.
NFL. NBA. NCAA. Track. Olympics.
Billions in merch, broadcast rights, advertising and ticket sales—fueled by Black excellence.

🛍️ Black Buying Power:
Over $1.8 trillion dollars.
Let that number sink in.
From hair care to high fashion, travel to tech—we don’t just spend, we influence markets.
Whole industries ride the wave of what we wear, say, eat, and celebrate.

🛠️ Black Innovation:
From the folding chair to traffic lights, peanut butter to open-heart surgery,
Black inventors helped shape modern life.
Not just for Black people—but for every American.

🌱 Black Farmers, Healers, Builders:
The roots run deep.
Healthcare, agriculture, education, finance—we’ve contributed far more than we’ve been credited for.
Black entrepreneurs create jobs not just for our own communities—but for everyone.

So let’s get this straight:

If you want to erase Black history from textbooks…
If you want to silence DEI in your boardrooms…
If you want to gut civil rights protections and rollback representation…

Then don’t take our dollars.
Don’t profit from our culture.
Don’t market to our people during Black History Month.
Don’t pretend to dance with us, then step on our feet.

Because you can’t celebrate the rhythm and ignore the struggle.
You can’t cash the check and cancel the voice.
You can’t wear the flavor and kill the soul.

You don’t get to pick and choose our value.

Black diversity is not decoration.
It is foundation.
And if you don’t want to stand with us—
Then stop standing in our shadow.

This economy doesn’t just include us.
It depends on us.
And if that makes you uncomfortable,
maybe it’s time you find another hustle—
Cause this one runs through us.
