From the moment America was born, racism was embedded in its DNA. It wasn’t just a bad idea, a mistake, or a moral failure—it was a foundational system that powered the economy, shaped laws, and dictated who had access to power.
The problem? America never truly cured this disease. It simply pushed it underground, allowing it to grow in the shadows—mutating, adapting, and embedding itself deeper into institutions.
Like a virus, racism doesn’t die. It mutates.
And now, after centuries of hiding in different forms, it’s fully resurfaced—stronger than ever.
Stage One: The Virus Infects the System (Slavery & Jim Crow)
For a disease to thrive, it needs a host. Racism found its host in America’s economy, government, and legal system.
✔ Slavery – The first stage of the disease. The economy was literally built on forced Black labor, making racism a profitable industry.
✔ Jim Crow Laws – When slavery was outlawed, racism mutated into segregation, voter suppression, and legalized discrimination.
✔ Lynching & Racial Terror – Racism became violence, enforcing white supremacy through fear.
At this stage, racism was out in the open, fully visible. But after the Civil Rights Movement made overt racism unacceptable, the disease had to mutate.
Stage Two: The Virus Goes Dormant (Civil Rights & the Underground Phase)
When the Civil Rights Movement dismantled Jim Crow, America had a choice:
✔ Eradicate racism once and for all by restructuring systems that had oppressed Black people for centuries.
✖ Or let it mutate and hide, pretending it was solved.
America chose the second option.
Racism didn’t die—it just went underground.
- White supremacists adapted. They stopped wearing Klan hoods and started wearing police badges, judicial robes, and business suits.
- Discrimination became covert. Redlining, mass incarceration, and economic policies kept Black communities locked out of wealth.
- Racist ideology infiltrated government. White nationalists realized they didn’t need to march in the streets—they could work their way into power.
They were patient. They planned. They waited.
Until they found the perfect political host.
Stage Three: The Virus Finds Its Perfect Carrier (Trump & the Modern Era)
Every virus needs a host to bring it back to the surface. That host was Donald Trump.
Now, let’s be clear—Trump isn’t ideological. He doesn’t care about the culture wars, racial debates, or even the future of America. He cares about money, power, and himself.
But here’s where the virus found an opportunity:
✔ Trump gave white supremacy a microphone. He didn’t create racism, but he removed its shame, making it socially acceptable again.
✔ He let them come out of hiding. The people who had been quietly planning since the Civil Rights era finally had a leader who spoke their language.
✔ He made racism mainstream again. From “very fine people on both sides” to calling Africa “shithole countries,” Trump validated white nationalist ideas that had been suppressed for decades.
Suddenly, the disease that had been festering underground was out in the open again—this time, with power behind it.
Stage Four: The Disease Spreads, Threatening the Entire Body
Here’s the part America doesn’t understand:
Racism isn’t just killing Black people. It’s killing the entire country.
A virus doesn’t care who its host is—it eventually destroys the whole system.
✔ Hate poisons democracy. When one group is oppressed, eventually, freedoms start shrinking for everyone—even the ones who think they’re safe.
✔ Division weakens the nation. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Instead of solving real problems (economy, education, infrastructure), America is stuck in an endless racial war.
✔ Fear-based politics leads to collapse. Racist policies aren’t just morally wrong—they create instability, economic inequality, and political chaos.
By refusing to cure racism, America is ensuring its own self-destruction.
Stage Five: The Only Cure is Confrontation
Every disease has two possible outcomes:
- It kills the host.
- The host fights back and defeats it.
America is at a crossroads. Will it finally confront and cure its disease, or will it allow racism to destroy it from within?
Because here’s the truth:
✔ Black people don’t want to “take over” America. We just want to live in peace, with the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
✔ Immigrants and people of color aren’t enemies. They’re part of the nation, building it just like everyone else.
✔ Racism is a system, not just an idea. It’s in the laws, policies, economics, and institutions. The only way to kill it is to root it out everywhere.
Hate doesn’t build. It only destroys.
If America doesn’t wake up to this, the disease will consume the whole body.
And by then, it might be too late.
